Design your construction gap with Allplan

Our cities are becoming more and more crowded. Often, redensification is the only remaining option for creating urgently needed living space. We want to challenge your creativity and encourage you to fill an imaginary construction gap. You want to put a 5-storey car wash in the gap? Sure! Or a stylish residential high-rise? Go for it! 😊

Rules

  • The boundaries of the property and the surrounding buildings form the framework.

  • In the 25m x 5.7m building gap, you may plan 30 meters in height and 15 meters below ground, both from the top edge of the terrain.

  • Submissions will be evaluated based on buildability, appearance, and utilization of the given space.

  • We have already created a vacant lot as a model in Allplan.

Timing

  • The contest will begin on May 2, 2022 and end on June 19, 2022.

  • A selection of the best submissions will be published on our social media channels from June 27th.

  • Our internal jury of experts will select the winners. The announcement will be made on July 1st.

How to participate

1. Download the Allplan template file here

2. Open the model in Allplan and fill the construction gap with your idea.

Not yet using Allplan? Our trial version with full functionality is available here

3. Create a JPG or PNG image of your model and submit it via our form (maximum file size: max. 10 MB).

Note: We have set up a specific image section/view in the model - see above. Please use only this perspective to image your model and submit it.

4. The winners will be contacted by email. If you are one of the lucky winners, we will need your model as an Allplan project.

Terms & Conditions

Participants must be at least 18 years old. Employees of ALLPLAN and their relatives are excluded from participation. Winners will be selected by ALLPLAN and personally informed via email. Participation does not entitle the participant to receive a prize. Cash payment of the prize is not possible.

No liability will be accepted for technical problems, errors or changes, insofar as ALLPLAN is not responsible for them.

With the submission of the project image as well as the CAD model, ALLPLAN receives a time-unlimited, free of charge right to the comprehensive use of the image.

Submissions received after the notified closing date cannot be considered.

The CAD model must be created with Allplan software. If not already installed, a free 30-day full version can be downloaded here.
