BIM-enabled FM is getting more adoption. It forms the basis for sustainable and holistic digitalization in the real estate industry. It is a decisive step towards seamlessly connecting the AEC industry with building operators with end-to-end digital processes and extending the value of BIM beyond just design and construction.

Allplan’s collaboration platform Bimplus is integrated into Spacewell’s Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) to support BIM-enabled facilities management. Integrating Bimplus into Spacewell’s solution is a great way to ensure data continuity as there is no model handover but a synergetic use of the same data with different tools.

In the Workshop we will explain and demonstrate:

  • The concept of Building Lifecycle Intelligence
  • How to connect the IWMS software MCS with the Bimplus platform
  • How to benefit from BIM in building maintenance

Stefan Kaufmann (ALLPLAN)

Stefan Kaufmann has lectured and researched at the Faculty of Architecture of the TU Munich with a focus on automated design and production processes. He was Managing Director of the LOC (TUM Center of Digital Methods for the Built Environment), one of the world's leading research centers in the field of digitization in the construction industry. At Allplan Stefan Kaufmann is today responsible for the BIM strategy, new technologies and the integration of the Bimplus Level3 technology into partner systems. He is a member of the Advisory Board of buildingSMART Deutschland e.V..

Kurt Demeulemeester has master degrees in mechanical engineering and applied computer science. At Spacewell he is product manager for the MCS software and enterprise architect for BIM/CAD technologies for all Spacewell products.
