BIM Glossary

There are many misinterpretations when it comes to certain words or acronyms around Building Information Modeling. Many of the common expressions and terms used in this context are often unclear in their meaning.

On the one hand, this is due to the fact that these terms are predominantly in English and on the other hand abbreviations (acronyms), which make it difficult to interpret and draw conclusions about the content.

For a functioning communication that is core to BIM and to avoid misunderstandings, it is essential that all participants know the correct meaning and use of the right terms and "speak in one language".
